ORA-00257

Hello everyone

I have an oracle error when try to running my application,
the error is ora-00257:archiver error. Connect internal only,until freed.

could anyone help me to fix the error?

Try to switch the log_archive_ dest

it should help you

Hi,

Best way is take a backup of archives daily and delete them daily through a script.

You will never get the error provided your mount-point has sufficient space to hold archive for a day...

Yes , this could be space problem in that drive , try to remove /delete old archives and then restart oracle using shutdown startup commands...
