Title: Tivoli Engineer
Location: Columbus OH
Duration: 6+ Months
Rate $34/hr all inclusive on C2C
Skills Required:
· Minimum 5 years of work experience as a distributed systems management engineer
· Strong communication and documentation skills
· Customer support and results oriented
· Minimum of three years of experience in the following areas:
o Unix (SunOS/Solaris, Linux, IBM-AIX,HP-UX) , MS Windows (9.x, NT/2000) Systems Administration
o Shell Scripting (Bourne, Korn, C-Shell), PERL, CGI, HTML, ASP, PHP, Java/JavaScript, CVS)
o Comfort level with SNMP
o Sun/IBM/HP Hardware Monitoring and troubleshooting
o Systems Management tools (i.e. SunMC, Tivoli, CA Unicenter, NetSNMP, IBM Director, HPSIM
Roles and Responsibilities
The organization drives product management, engineering standards and productivity initiatives for server across the firm, as well as managing selected application services, including web hosting, middleware, source code management and database management.
Candidate will be responsible for validation and certification lifecycle of the Infrastructure and Server Operating System, Hardware, and Layer Product Monitoring Instrumentation agent services provided by the DTS GSE Distributed Systems Management organization:
· Package Agents for distribution through standard GTI Software Delivery Toolset
· Certify DTS DSM toolset against new OS build/release/ patch
· Certify DTS DSM toolset against new Application build/release/ patch
· Validate DTS DSM engineered solutions prior to introducing into production
· Validate DTS DSM engineered solution for Integration with GTI/LOB Applications
· Documentation, X-Training and Transition to DTS operations team for production implementation
